Summer Plays on Tour Pnc Bank Arts Center Pnc Bank Arts Center August 3

It's a quirk of the upcoming concert season that one of the most noteworthy summertime tours coming to area amphitheaters isn't a concert at all.

Chris Stone, noteworthy Oscars presenter, and Kevin Hart are coming to area stages this summer in the Rock Hart: Simply Headliners Allowed comedy tour.

Dates include July 21 at the Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater, Long Isle; July 22 at the Prudential Center in Newark; July 23 at the Madison Square Garden in New York; July 24 at the PNC Bank Arts Centre in Holmdel; and July 25 at the Barclays Heart in Brooklyn.

Rock has not commented on receiving the infamous Will Smith slap at the recent University Awards, saying from a Boston theater phase that he hasn't processed it still. Information technology will exist interesting to encounter if he reflects, or jokes or fumes about it this summer.

As for the expanse's amphitheaters, including the Waterfront Music Pavilion in Camden (formerly the BB&T Pavilion), there are lots concerts coming through, by and large of the classic rock, country music and '80s and '90s multifariousness.

Tears for Fears, whose hits include "Shout" and "Everybody Wants to Rule the Earth," is touring in support of "The Tipping Indicate," the duo's first new album in 17 years. Shows include June 24 at the PNC Banking concern Arts Center and June 25 at Jones Beach. Special guest is Garbage, which had a number of alternative rock hits in the 1990s, including "Only Happy When It Rains" and "Stupid Girl."

As for country music, the Chicks, formerly the Dixie Chicks, are on tour for the first fourth dimension since 2017. The group is supporting the 2020 album "Gaslighter." Patty Griffin opens the show.

The Chicks — Martie Maguire, Emily Strayer and Natalie Maines — are one of land'south most provocative groups, then there should be lots of energy. See them July two at Jones Beach; July 6 at the PNC Banking company Arts Center; and July 8 at the Waterfront Music Pavilion.

I of the more interesting double headliner bills this summer is Chicago touring with Brian Wilson, who has Embankment Boys young man travelers Al Jardine and Blondie Chapman backing him up on the Embankment Boys classics and more.

The music of the Embankment Boys and Chicago has provided the summer soundtrack to a few generations of fans. They take a history together, likewise. In 1974, Embankment Boys members Jardine, Carl Wilson and Dennis Wilson, Brian Wilson's brothers, sang backing vocals on Chicago's hit single "Wishing You Were Here."

Later, Chicago and the Embankment Boys went on the "Beachago" tour together in 1975, and they hit the route once again in 1989.

Chicago and Brian Wilson with Al Jardine and Blondie Chaplin have announced a summer of 2022 tour. The tour comes to PNC Bank Arts Center on July 11 and the Waterfront Music Pavilion on July 13 in Camden. Shown above is Chicago performing at the PNC Bank Arts Center last summer.

Information technology's notable that the upcoming shows are the showtime fourth dimension that Brian Wilson is touring on a beak with Chicago. He wasn't a member of the Beach Boys alive band in '75 and '89. Upcoming area shows include July 11 at the PNC Bank Arts Centre; July thirteen at the Waterfront Music Pavilion; and July xv at Jones Beach.

Attendees this summer at the PNC Bank Arts Eye and the Waterfront Music Pavilion must take proof of a negative COVID-nineteen examination taken with 72 hours, or be fully vaccinated. There are no such requirements at Jones Beach as of press fourth dimension.
